Z.ai released GLM-Legal, a legal model built on GLM-5.3-Flash for contract review, evidence analysis and compliance. On Harvey LAB, a law-firm workflow test, it scored 19.2%, ahead of Kimi K2 (12.9%) and Claude Fable 5 (11.3%) in Z.ai’s chart.
That sounds low because Harvey grades all-pass: a task counts only if every step is right. Access is a beta by application, with no public price yet.

Mellum2.1 keeps the same architecture as its predecessor but gained the ability to explore a repository, edit files, and check its own work, after a summer spent training it in real sandboxed coding environments.

GLM-5.3, Z.ai's latest coding and agent model, is now available through Amazon Bedrock, giving enterprise AWS customers a managed way to run it without building their own hosting.
Z.ai made GLM-5.3 and the faster GLM-5.3-Flash available on Amazon Bedrock on October 5, following earlier listings on AWS Marketplace. Z.ai says the model improved 50% over its predecessor, GLM-5.2, on the company's internal coding benchmark, a claim that hasn't been independently verified.
Bedrock access means enterprise buyers get prompt caching, cross-region inference, and AWS's standard data-retention terms, without routing requests through a separate Chinese-hosted API.
